A Reserve World is a private reserve, a preserve, a park, a zoo, or an estate.
The world has restricted access, either to protect the indigenous lifeforms, to protect available resources, preserve pristine and idyllic real estate, or other reasons.

Reserve World status can be considered similar to a world with Red Zone status, though it is less restrictive in nature.
- Reserve World status is generally in place to protect the world.
- Reserve World status may only apply to certain regions of the surface.
Reserve worlds are generally off limits to casual visitors.
Access to the world may be authorized by its governing authority.
- The authority may issue permits or licenses.
In some cases, access to Reserve Worlds may be purchased.
- The world may be a tourist destination.
- Such access is generally granted under strict conditions
