The MCS class Mobile Asteroid Base is a ultraheavy spaceship andMobile Asteroid Base.
Description[edit]
Mark Cylo Shipyard, Inc
“300 yrs of decommissioning expertise in Corridor”
Thought lost in the Vargr Wars this buffered planetoid was utilized to eliminate the unwanted. A huge maul allowed the ingestion of any vessel and release of parts for re-use. Whether melting bulk materials like wiring to manageable quantities or moving to a release of building blocks to supplement the repair of other ships in the line. The MCS business was outsourced from the Imperial Navy with intentions of keeping the navy focused on its core responsibilities.
Specifications[edit]
An early version of the 10 million ton mobile base MCS Asteroid had several cost effective cutbacks. No jump drive was installed and minimal defenses. The asteroid was chosen for its dense outer material and large cavernous Maul. Extensive drilling was minimal for such a large scale project.

History & Background[edit]
MCS had advantages over other decommissioning facilities with dirt side or orbital structures. The MCS Asteroid had the benefits of being within a hollowed planetoid. MCS kept a low successful profile getting some of the less glamorous but profitable work. Originally, it had taken 50 years to fully hollow out and build the initial facility. At the beginning of the Imperial Rebellion, MCS had the ability to address 20 capital ships at one time and accepted indirect non-navy contracts for system fleets and corporate defense vessels, as well.
Mark Cylo had originally had a dirt side facility when Depot Corridor opened. Years after his son Anthony build the asteroid originally intended as an orbital facility.
