Kaa is a poor, low-population desert hellworld, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.

The primary is H'sakhaa, a yellow subdwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.2945 Sols, a mass of 0.5856 Sols, and a diameter of 1.38 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a sparse stony planetoid belt – orbital position (II) is empty. (III) Nostro, an exotic atmosphere bigworld, orbits within the habitable zone: (IIIa) Kaa is its only satellite and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a vacuum worldlet and (V) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system.
