The primary is Chamano, a huge red giant star. It has a luminosity of 2587 Sols, a mass of 8.74 Sols and a diameter of 456 million km – the star's corona extends out to 1.52 AU, around orbital position (V). The inner system consists of (V) a large extremely hot gas giant orbiting very close to the surface of the star, and (VIII, IX) two hot rocky vacuum worlds – orbital positions (VI) and (VIII) are empty. (X) Maranask, a thin atmosphere world, orbits within the habitable zone: Esqua is its major satellite and is designated the mainworld. (XI) a small thin atmosphere world, (XII, XIII) two small gas giants, and (XIV) a small trace atmosphere world form the outer zone. Many of the worlds in the system retain small satellites.

(X) Maranask has a UWP of Y640000-0 and orbits Chamano at a mean distance of 37.9 AU (5.67 billion km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 78 years 337 days and a rotation period of 25.25 hours. The axial tilt is 18.5 degrees. Maranask has a diameter of 9,489 km, a density of 3.76 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.51 G. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.38 bar and a composition of 89% nitrogen, 9% oxygen, 1% carbon dioxide and 1% argon, neon and other trace gases: the taint is caused by a low percentage of atmospheric oxygen. Approximately 2% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water. Mean surface temperature: 44°C. The atmosphere is active and weather systems, driven by the star, roll across the globe. The climate is seasonal and weather patterns follow regular cycles.
(Xa) Esqua
(Xa) Esqua is the major moon of Maranask. It orbits its primary at a mean distance of 15 diameters (142,000 km), it has an orbital period of 6 days 8 hours and a rotation period of 6 days 8 hours: it is tidally locked to its parent world. The axial tilt is 13 degrees. Esqua has a diameter of 5,333 km, a density of 5.44 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.41 G. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, with a mean surface pressure of 0.59 bar and a composition of 81% nitrogen, 18% oxygen, and 1% argon, carbon dioxide, neon and other trace gases. Approximately 4% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water. Mean surface temperature: 29°C. The atmosphere is active and weather systems, driven by the star, roll across the globe. The climate is seasonal and weather patterns follow regular cycles.

Native lifeforms
Both Maranask and Esqua have remarkably similar native life: primitive microscopic organisms that live in abundance in any area that has a source of water. Their metabolic functions serve to power the processes of atmospheric renewal on both worlds. Esqua has a large number of introduced species, largely hardy types of flora, which inhabit any ecological niche where that they can survive.
