Description
Designed and built at Leset for the Protectorate. These ships operate within the Far Home Sector. The TL–12 hulls have jump 2 drives and carry enough internal fuel for a single jump 2, and carry drop tanks with 28 days of power plant fuel and an additional jump 2 as needed. There are in service with the Protectorate Naval Forces. They can carry a single 5,000 ton TL–11 Oromet Class System Defense Boat. They are dispersed structure hulls for rapid deployment and recovery. They have fuel refineries, but are not well suited to wilderness refueling operations, unassisted. They can carry 36 marines with 34 drop capsules for orbital assaults. The weapons include ten triple beam laser turrets, ten dual fusion gun turrets, a particle accelerator bay, and three missile bays for offense. They have thirty triple sand caster turrets for defense. They carry redundant meson screens and nuclear dampers. They have a pair of model 6 fib computers and are capable of 2 G acceleration and have no agility rating.
