Barnard is an Imperial vacuum world located on the Corridor chain within Sol Subsector of the Solomani Rim. Barnard is under military rule.
Barnard is a small, airless, waterless world orbiting Barnard. The planet is a short jump from Terra (Solomani Rim 1827).
Barnard was the site of First Contact between the Solomani and Vilani in the year -2422 (AD 2097). At the time it was the site of a small Sharurshid prospecting base.
After first contact the Solomani, under the oversight of UNSCA, also settled Barnard.
In -2404 (AD 2118) an incident between the Solomani settlement and a Sharurshid caravan resulted in the start of the First Interstellar War.
