Kotar (Ga 2921) is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.

Kotar is a member of the Swanfei Free Worlds in the Riftin Subsector of Gateway Sector, and like several of the Free Worlds has no system of laws.
For centuries, the "free worlds" were little but a port for pirates and smugglers, but in time, the profits of piracy were used to create legitimate business. Now the Swanfei Free Worlds are a recognised polity, albeit a rather rough-and-ready one.
The Fellowship of Kotar took its name from this system.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Kotar has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
