Gulf_Subsector/Reavers' Deep Sector

Subsector Notes[edit]
Gulf Subsector The history of Gulf Subsector has long been tied to the nearby presence of the old Vilani world Warinir (Db 0507) in Edge Subsector. The first colonies in Gulf Subsector were military bases of the Terran Confederation intended for mounting an assault against Warinir; later colonies in this subsector were founded by Warinir; and since the collapse of the Rule of Man this subsector has at times been a battleground in the repeated rise and fall of the Grand Republic of Warinir. Even now, when the Grand Republic is reduced to only the world of Warinir itself, Gulf Subsector is the scene of economic conflict between Warinir and Woomera (Db 0114) (see regional Border Map).
Reavers: Even in its out-of-the-way location at the edge of The Thumb, Gulf Subsector has suffered occasional raids over the years of the Long Night. Most recently, it is suspected that raiders from the Kolan Collective have been pirating the ships of both Wariniri and Woomeran merchants in this area.
Colonization: The first colonies in Gulf Subsector were Terran Confederation military bases at Coventry (Db 3207) and Keltia (Db 3010), late in the Interstellar Wars when the Terran forces were contemplating an assault on Warinir as the beginning of a drive up into Zarushagar and Massilia Sectors. When the Interstellar Wars were over and the Rule of Man had united Terran and Vilani worlds under one government, Kylian (Kiiliinir) (RD 3209), Dhroma (RD 2909), and Vesech (RD 2810) were colonized from Warinir and the other worlds of Edge Subsector (see regional Border Map). Verini (RD 2508) was a later colony founded by dissidents from Vesech, and Mirinda (RD 3109) has only sporadically been occupied as a base by various interests over the years.
Population: The highest population worlds in Gulf Subsector are Dhroma (RD 2909) with 700 Million people, and Vesech (RD 2810) and Kylian (RD 3209) with about 400 Million each.
The highest Technology Level in the subsector is 10, at Mirinda (RD 3109) and Kylian (RD 3209).
