History-Era: Rebellion
All of Promise subsector was a war zone throughout the Rebellion, and Exeter suffered significant decrease in population. Extensive commerce raiding led officials of the Exeter Federated Shipbuilders in 063-1125 to announce the establishment of a new program to assist war-torn Diaspora Sector. The naval architects of Exeter's several noted shipbuilding firms agreed to cooperate in creating sets of standardized, simplified plans for the conversion of commercial ships to military purposes, which were to be distributed throughout the Diaspora Sector, but without the usual architect's fees attached.
History-Era: New Era
The considerable population of this world is divided among more than 20 "nations", each ruled by a technologically elevated dictatorship and backed by TL-15 troops. There is no operating starport on the world, and vampire ships only occasionally visit it. A few TEDs hold the vampires at bay with working PAD systems, while the majority pay tribute in the form of trained human crewmembers and salvaged tech level 15 relic technology.
- Romrugo of Vars, the most powerful of the TEDs, controls the starport as well as a fleet of three small armed spacecraft (none of which are jump capable). These include a Patrol Cruiser, a System Defense Boat, and an armed liner.
