History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
A larger mark one version of this plane was designed and a single prototype built. At Cr 20,910,955.54 and 200tons it could carry two Armadillo class MRLS Walkers. It carried enough fuel for almost 45 days, in the end it was much nicer and faster than the mark 2, but just too expensive. The mark 2 is a stripped down, slow, minimalistic approach, with absolutely no frills. The only special feature is the TL–5 fire direction center, very crude but cheap which poorly coordinates all the Armadillos for a single fire mission. The only defensive feature is the extensive ECM which makes it very difficult to detect with RADAR. The MRLS battery has to be moved into position one at a time. A slow and arduous task which is a mission vulnerability. The Baroness could only afford one mark 2 for her inaugural mercenary ticket for use on Aramanx/Aramis (Spinward Marches 3005). Rumor is she plans to acquire more, and maybe some of the gold plated mark 2s, as soon as possible. These were designed for a mercenary Dream Ticket, to be built with money provided upfront by Sternmetal Horizons an interested megacorporation. The total unit budget was MCr30.
