Destroyers

Princess Diane, 112th Baroness of Nu Yark has designed a dream ticket unit with a MCr.30 budget and access to TL 10 equipment. She has used her wealth, power and influence to create the Destroyers. She finances and commands the loyalty of this unique unit of Condotterie. However, she often delegates actual field command to a loyal follower because of the dangers involved.

This unit consists of:

A converted freighter, Small Steamship (4) Cr 60,000 100tons, 30kph for sustained cruises, 5 crew, 10 passengers, and 50 tons cargo. This marine cargo ship has been adapted to serve as a sort of low budget naval aircraft carrier. It looks civilian at first glance but the unit's VTOL air assets can take off, land, and refuel on its modified deck.

A section of (2) Diablo class Fighter-Bombers, these hyper-sonic VTOLs jets carry a crew of two with rocket assisted ejection seats, 5,000 power radios, powerful LADAR for target acquisition, launch rails for a combination of (10) TAC missiles (either air to air IR homing dog fight missiles or HEAP anti-tank missiles) and hard points for (6) medium bombs. A Point Defense Platoon, with (3) Pit Fiend class Point Defense Sleds, anti-grav mobility, each with three crew (driver, gunner and commander), a 5,000 power radio, thermal vision, target acquisition LADAR, a single lens pulse laser with (50) penetration and point defense fire control, the turret and chassis are armored (35) front, (20) sides, and (10) all other faces. A command and control hut, with the unit commander, and six staff. They have communication links in a sand bag bunker, in satellite dish contact with a dedicated satellite that the unit deploys. This satellite has the capabilities of a GPS/map box, portable computers, a 1kg artillery remote control Cr 1,000 with a 5,000 power radio, and sensors. Cr.96,485.58

The final unit is an airmobile Clone Artillery Battery, there is a VTOL Destroyer class Transport, which carries two crew and two technicians. It has extensive ECM, a fire direction center, extra ammo, and communication links. It deploys (6) Armadillo class MRLS Walkers, these are small, remotely controlled, artillery pieces. Each MRLS has a suspension of (4) all terrain legs, basic ECM protection and a multiple rocket launcher artillery system. This artillery rocket launcher consists of five, 18cm caliber tubes, which can fire short, medium or long range rockets depending on budget and mission. The unit is very small. If we include the clones, the seven command personnel, and the crew and passengers of the small steamer SS Destroyer, we have 45 people. The ten passengers of the steamer include the unit's medics, cook, logisticians, mechanics and vehicle maintenance technicians.
