History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Trace was originally settled by the Vilani around eight millennia ago and was absorbed into the Ziru Sirka around -4045. It was the first area of contention between humans and the Vargr as they burst into Ziru Sirka space: the ancient Empire struggled to cope with the appearance of this new and vibrant culture.

The Trace had been controlled, at its Coreward End, by the Irrgh Manifest since the fifth century. When the Manifest was divided by the emergence the Glory of Taarskoerzn in the ninth century, the trailing region of the polity remained loyal to the Manifest.

Later Eras[edit]

Following the withdrawal of the Corridor Fleet in 1117, the Irrgh Manifest and associated corsairs pushed down the trace to meet the forces of the New Ziru Sirka almost head-on.

The arrival of Virus in the trace saw this become a Vampire Road, allowing the spread of this disaster, rapidly into the Vargr Extents.
