Description (Specifications)

The University of Atadl is a school specialising in supporting the space industry. It is one of the second tier of Universities with a firm element of the practical. It has a limited post-graduate population and, while of good reputation as a teaching institution, it is not highly renowned for its research. Many graduates go on to work as Port or Yard staff or Merchant crew.

90% of the under-graduates are Vargr from on-planet (Atadl) and almost all of the remainder come from worlds in Atsah Subsector or neighbouring Million Subsector. Several scholarships are offered by the Starport Authority.

History & Background (Dossier)

Established in its current form in 199, as one of the initiatives to "Imperialise" the world prior to the subsector joining the Imperium in 200, the original faculty were all recruited from neighbouring (Vilani) Corridor Sector worlds. As the world never, in fact, joined the Imperium this "Imperialization" never had the intended kudos and the university languished its way through the subsequent millennium.

Kunlluvagr University is located on the same world.

None. The university managed to maintain a flawless reputation for mediocrity for over 900 years.
