Tsuchi supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it dangerous to visitors. There is a habitat or settlement for criminals or exiles from other worlds here. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeda Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. Tsuchi, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. During the Long Night this world was named Emaam Uun.
- A Prison World, exile camp, or prison camp for criminals or other exiles is located upon this world in addition to other points of interest.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Tsuchi is a member of the Dagudashaag Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
History and Background[edit]
A prison camp has been established here, to be fully functioning by 1113. It is intended for the Amec Trade Protectorate to house their worst criminals here, outside the Protectorate's space. The construction crew consists of low-risk convicts, building underground prison habitats and developing the starport. The presence of the prison gives the world its amber rating.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Tsuchi has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Tsuchi has population of 800 sophonts (hundreds).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
Demographics[edit]
There are two broad categories of citizen within the Amec Trade Protectorate:
- The Sun-born, which consists of the nobility, their families, courtesans, and Cuaupilli (those who have successfully undertaken the adolescent Test of Worth).
- The Amtlan, which includes the Maceualli ("tribute" or protected ones) who toil on behalf of their lord, and the Pochteca or independent merchants.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used within this astrographic region:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Karanga: A Terran-derived language that is a secondary tongue within the Amec Protectorate.
- Nahuatl: A language with its roots in ancient Terra, now used as the primary language of the Amec Trade Protectorate.
- Sall: The predominate language of Bolivar (Dagudashaag 0240), spoken as a common second language in the Trade Protectorate.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Tsuchi possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)[edit]
Tsuchi is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to draft the policies voted upon. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by the voting population.
World Law (L)[edit]
Tsuchi has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
- The wise men known as Tlamatinime act as both lawyer (there are no actual lawyers in Amec Protectorate space) and judge.
