Traak is a preindustrial world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Core Subsector of Core Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
- This world has an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling IISS starships and personnel.
- This world was once known as Irmap Muu.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Traak is a member of the Sylean Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This was one of the "Wayward Worlds", members of the Sylean Federation who chose to reject the offer of membership in the Third Imperium. Cleon Zhunastu accepted their decision, but as the Imperium grew, the Wayward Worlds became increasingly isolated and were forced to accept Imperial membership. Many of the Wayward Worlds retained their original names for many years before being renamed one-by-one in an attempt to shed the burden of their "traitorous" past. Irmap Muu became Traak.
World Starport[edit]
Traak has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Traak has a population of 900,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
Linguistic Topography[edit]
- Core Anglic, a dialect of one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
