Solomani Rimward Expedition

The Solomani Rimward Expeditions refer to one or more long term expeditionary ventures by the Solomani Confederation from the Solomani Far Frontier region to explore and chart the space along their rimward border out to the distance of the Galactic Rim.

The Solomani have a natural open Frontier along their Rimward border, and thus have a natural direction of exploration, expansion, and colonization, as well as a concern for their own rimward security regarding what might lie in the direction of the open, unexplored and unknown regions toward the galactic rim.

There are rumors of a concerted Solomani effort to explore beyond the rimward frontiers of Charted Space into uncharted territory. As the Solomani have a natural open Frontier along their Rimward border, they have a natural direction of exploration, expansion, and colonization in that direction to exploit, as well as both a natural curiosity and wariness as to what might lie in that direction of the unexplored and open unknown regions of the galaxy. There are some rumors that have referred to at least one of these concerted efforts as the Perseus Project. Another (somewhat more apocryphal) tale tells of Baron General Turokan's Expedition to the Rim via the edge of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex and the Orion OB1 Association in the direction of the Rimtrailing Solomani Far Frontier.

The most reliable evidence indicates that expeditions have been sent out toward the next Galactic Arm outward and possibly further toward the Galactic Rim in the direction of the Terran Constellations Perseus and Auriga at bearings 150° and 180° Galactic Longitude, respectively.
