Pr'Geehr has a population between 10,000 and 10 million sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Pact Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Pr'Geehr, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. This is the homeworld of the Geehrtahe, a Minor Race. During the Long Night this world was named Miriim.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Pr'Geehr is a member of the Dagudashaag Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
Pr'Geehr is a small, cool world (average global temperature -9ºC) with a dense atmosphere.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Pr'Geehr is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Pr'Geehr has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Pr'Geehr has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.
Mainworld Topography and Geography[edit]
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
Flora includes the Haahgeh tree, a source of an edible fruit and useful fibres.
Fauna includes the Ehpra, a deer-like animal which forms a major part of the Geehrtahe diet.
Native Sophont: Geehrtahe[edit]
The Geehrtahe are a race of tree dwelling hunter-gatherers with two-metre long flattened bodies.
A thin membrane stretches between the central two thirds of the body, extended on modified ribs. The membrane, when extended, allows the individual Geehrtahe to make prolonged glides in the dense air and low gravity environment of the planet.
History and Background[edit]
The initial surveys conducted by early Vilani explorers missed the planet's indigenous minor race, the Geehrtahe. The planet itself had little in the way of resources to offer investors and the low gravity discouraged colonisation. Pr'Geehr was regarded as a pretty little world unlikely to account for much. That was until the discovery of the Geehrtahe.
The Geehrtahe currently have extensive contacts with the IISS, being well aware of their existence as part of a larger universe. However, they remain doggedly determined to advance on their own initiative, and have repeatedly turned down offers of technological assistance.
All visitors are subject to a full quarantine prior to landing and are limited to visiting the Human settlement of Handsoff.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Pr'Geehr has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Pr'Geehr has a population of 20,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Pr'Geehr possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Pr'Geehr is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.
World Law (L)[edit]
Pr'Geehr has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
