Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]
Native Lifeforms[edit]

Native Sophont (NIL): Yaitlat[edit]
Peres is notable as the homeworld of the Yaitlat, a Minor Race, now protected because it has been abused in the past by Vincennes' rulers, who were extracting hallucinogenic compounds from these beings via cruel, unethical, and deadly processes[2]. Any humans visiting Peres are advised to keep out of sight.
The Yaitlat are considered to be an enigmatic race[3].
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The native sophonts were once exploited cruelly by the infamous Humbolt family, and remain violently distrustful of Humans. All interaction with the Imperium is via the Nenlat, who applied the name "Yaitlat" to the natives, short for "Yaitlatboklimhun".
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Peres, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Peres has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Peres has population of 800 sophonts (hundreds).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
- This figure doesn't include the native Yaitlat.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Peres possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fission power generation, advanced water and wind generation of electricity.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

- Water: Amphibious vehicles, improved submersibles, and early SCUBA gear.
- Air: Early jet aircraft and rotorcraft VTOL's.
- Space: Early unmanned rocket delivery systems and early manned orbital rockets.
World Government (G)[edit]
Peres is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to draft the policies voted upon. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by the voting population.
World Law (L)[edit]
Peres has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
