Ninshien is a preindustrial, moderate population water world with over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in population size.

  • Its surface is 90% or more covered in an ocean of water.
  • The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
  • As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • The Vegan Autonomous District is a Client State of the Third Imperium in the Esperance Subsector and Vega Subsectors of the Solomani Rim Sector in the Domain of Sol.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Ninshien has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
