Kishgakhir is a world suited to becoming an agricultural world, but with a population between 10,000 and 100,000 sophonts it lacks the capability to produce or process sufficient resources to export its projected agricultural produce. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Kishgakhir, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. During the Long Night this world was named Khiigikhir.

Mainworld Data

Kishgakhir, like Gakhir, is named after one of the two sons of the minor god Angakh (Anglic: Angakh) of Vilani mythology. Although similar in size the resemblance between the worlds ends there. The world is a pleasant farming colony, moving toward being a major agricultural producer.

History and Background

Much of the world's agricultural success is due to the arrival of Vhi Dytru, and a large scale agricultural production plant run by a corporation of the same name. The associated jobs are bringing immigration from Khandi (Dagudashaag 2119) and Shibishlim (Dagudashaag 2015).

The Ministry of Colonization is offering land grants and free passages to increase the population. Local life is primitive, most crops and livestock has been introduced from other worlds. A number of novel food plants and animals have been added to increase the agricultural product range.

World Starport (Sp)

Kishgakhir has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
