The KE005 Jaibok class G-Carrier is a TL-10 Armored Fighting Vehicle.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Jaibok 8T class G Carrier, TL-10: The vehicle's crystaliron armor sheaths the chassis to levels of protection equivalent to starship hull metal. This design is sealed with life support for the crew and passengers in vacuum and protected forces roles. A sub-optimal fusion power plant is installed to save mass and cost, the grav modules do not need to compete for power. There are twenty TAC missile vertical tube launchers running in parallel rows of ten down the spine of the vehicle like an old Solomani ballistic missile submarine. The design features lateral weapon engagements fields of fire akin to broadsides. The VRF Gauss guns, 4cm RAM AGLs and laser rifles fire from hammerhead mounts that cover the port and starboard flanks of the vehicle. The weapons systems do not engage directly forward or to the rear. Armor distribution is uniform on all facings. Each side has its own gunner to direct weapons fire for that flank. The 26 passengers have full life support (proof against CBR/NBC threats) and exit via an airlock to the rear of the vehicle.

Basic Vehicle Characteristics[edit]

Following the Imperial Army and IISS Universal Vehicle Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the vehicle when applicable. Tonnage on the universal vehicle profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary.

Basic Vehicle Characteristics
No. Category Remarks
1. Tonnage Total mass loaded: 199.84874 metric tons.
  • Vehicle Dimensions: 4m wide, 4m tall, 7m long
  • Total usable volume: 112m³
2. Crew x4 (driver, commander, x2 gunners)
3. Performance The G Carrier has 0.3510217 maneuver Gs from 270 tons of thrust. The 27 megawatt fusion power plant consumes 40.5 liters of hydrogen per hour.

TAC Missiles[edit]

There are eighteen 42 kg capacity launch tubes running down the back of the vehicle deck. There are an additional two 36.8kg vertical launch tubes reserved for a pair of wire command link operator guided missiles deployed in areas of heavy jamming. They use a 20cm HEAP 52 warhead and it takes a crew member to manually reload these missiles if additional rounds are available, or carried in the cargo space. The homing missiles struggle to achieve intercepts against vehicles protected with advanced ECM abilities. The vehicle uses a pair of laser rifles with 100 shot batteries to designate a pair of its own targets and can hand off to deployed infantry to spot and mark targets. A full load of missiles, detailed below is included in the price.

Characteristics: HEAP Warhead Missiles
Type Range Price
Homing HEAP 52, ten carried 24km or 14km +10 speed DM Cr371
Target Designated HEAP 52, four carried 24km or 14km +10 speed DM Cr671
IR Follow Up HEAP +8, four carried 24km or 14km +10 speed DM Cr471
Operator Guided HEAP 52 with wire command link +3 DM, two carried 10km Cr164.8

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The KE005 Jaibok class G-Carrier was designed and manufactured at TL–10, these vehicles are manufactured for the Korsumug Empire in Mavuzog and Theta Borealis Sectors. They have no fire control systems and no heavy energy weapons. Each vehicle is equivalent to a platoon of 30 marines. The dismounted marines tend to spot for the target designated missiles to extend their engagement envelop. They use RADAR for longer range target acquisition but if jammed, they switch to a shorter ranger LADAR system. The LADAR struggles against smoke and the homing missiles are less effective against vehicles with ECM.
