Ixa is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Ragol Subsector of Course Sector.

Ederly-Ixa System[edit]
The primary is Ederly, an ordinary orange main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.352 Sols, a mass of 0.774 Sols, and a diameter of 1.168 million km. The inner system consists of (I-I) a vacuum worldlet, (I-II) a trace atmosphere worldlet, and (II) a dense atmosphere stormworld. (III) Ixa orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a trace atmosphere radworld, (V) a large gas giant, (VI-I) a ringed large gas giant, (VI-II) a small gas giant, and (VII) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mettol Subsystem[edit]
The companion is Mettol, a magenta-coloured L-type brown dwarf lying approximately 1,130 AU from Ederly. It is not luminous, it has a mass of 0.062 Sols and a diameter of 60,000 km. (II) a dense icy planetoid belt forms the outer system – orbital position (I) is empty.

(III) Ixa[edit]
(III) Ixa is designated the mainworld. It orbits Ederly at a mean distance of 0.68 AU (101.7 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 232 days 19 hours and a rotation period of 35 hours. The axial tilt is 175 degrees. Ixa has a diameter of 6,093 km, a density of 4.67 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.41 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, with a mean surface pressure of 0.63 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen (N2), 22% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 51% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.1m. Mean surface temperature: 13°C. The atmosphere is active and moderate weather systems driven by the star and the oceans work across the globe. The climate is seasonal.

Native Lifeforms[edit]
Ixa, the mainworld, has extensive native life, consisting of minute multicellular organisms that can be found in most ecological niches. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

Ixa has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
