The Golden Ring are a group of Universities.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Golden Ring is a collection of academic institutions on Vincennes (Deneb 1122). It includes five institutions. These are:

  • Golden Gate School
  • Golden Horn School
  • Golden Harvest School
  • Golden Sun School
  • Golden Dragon School

Golden Gate and Golden Horn are in orbit near Vincennes' two highports, and are given over mostly to off-world students. The other three Schools are all built near the world's three major metroplexes.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

After the Rape of Trin in 1139, Vincennes (Deneb 1122) constructed five of the largest and most prestigious universities in Deneb: the "Golden Ring" schools. These attract the best and brightest from across the Regency to learn cutting edge science and technology, economics and public service, psionics and interstellar relations.
