Strategy & Doctrine (Operations)[edit]
A key consideration is self-sufficiency. The Gashikan Navy believes that any one ship should be a viable combat unit by itself, and that all ships should maximize the survivability of their crews. This attitude stemmed from beliefs left over from the dark days following the nuclear bombardment of Gashikan. All combat ships, except for those designed to never leave a system, are equipped with jump drive. This allows Gashikani vessels to leave an engagement even if all other ships in their unit are destroyed.
