French (language)

French is a language from old Terra that the Terrans and Solomani spread to the stars.

The Archaic French language formed the basis for the Francophone language group, of which Modern French, Euxenic, and various dialects of the Islands Cluster of Reft Sector derive, to name but a few.

History & Background (Dossier)

French had a significant influence on modern Anglic in its formative period during the Rule of Man. The Strend Cluster and the Third Reformed French Confederate Republic are two polities whose state languages are rooted in French heritage. French is also spoken on several populous worlds of the Islands Cluster.
