History & Background (Dossier)

Ekaertsaenralknokh was happily purchased by Thaeghz Hvaek Engnigharr ("Pack Pact to Success"), or T.H.E. Corp, from the Democracy of Greats for a vast profit when the mainworld was discovered to be a resource goldmine of heavy metals and radioactives. The corporation hastily dropped a B-rated, enclosed Downport and funneled Loners and Prospectors buying permits to conduct mining operations. The resulting metals were refined at the corporate headquarters before being sent to systems Rimward for use in starship and civil construction. As of 1105, the population is still growing from the dropped port and shantytown to a rush of ill-equipped miners.

Ekaertsaenralknokh has no Gas Giants and lacks planetoid belts, making ore smuggling difficult for tramp traders and claim-jumpers. This focused source yield is easy for the owning corporation to patrol with its small security fleet. The local government is a cooperation of entrepreneurs and the hosting corporation. The frontier atmosphere sees small spurts of violence between claims which is intermittent enough to be overlooked by the Downport authorities.

The smallest world in the cluster purchased by T.H.E Corp, Ekaertsaenralknokh is still the most lucrative in metals resources and radioactives needed to maintain business.
