Efflung is a low-population fluid world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography consisting of heavily contaminated water or a substance such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquid.
- It is a member world, and capital, of the Hefrin Colony located in the Spinward Drift Subsector of the The Beyond Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
System Data[edit]
The Pashalic Navy's patrol craft (see below) maintain security across the red dwarf system, deterring corsair activity, but the 80 AU distant brown dwarf's planetary system is unpatrolled, and is rumored to contain a forward outpost of the Zydarian Codominium Star Legion.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Efflung is a large world with a crushingly dense atmosphere laden with fluorine and carbon monoxide.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Efflung is uninhabited except for a handful of wildcat miners using corrosion-resistant vehicles and drones to harvest minerals from the surface.
In orbit is the official capital of the United Spinward Worlds, the polity generally known as the Hefrin Colony. This capital is a Class-C Highport with one module acting as an effectively powerless congressional chamber. The Jarnac Pashalic maintain a small garrison here as starport security, to insure the "independence" of Hefrin.
The Corellan League hasn't bothered to establish an embassy at Efflung; they maintain a small consulate on Khiiszarbi staffed almost entirely by locals.
World Starport[edit]
Efflung has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
