History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

SuSAG Corporation established their first factory operation in the Dug system in 832 to avoid the Psionics Suppressions. This factory was to manufacture then illegal psi drugs. The operation has since expanded into other areas of drugs and chemicals, and includes a large R & D operation that is quasi-legal at best.

Analysts believe that the Loyal Nineworlds Republic would like to make a claim to Dug.

World Starport[edit]

Dug has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • This system's starport is privately owned by the SuSAG corporation and not generally open to public use. Landings are restricted to SuSAG owned ships and those of customers or contractors working for SuSAG corporation. Ships not associated with SuSAG can refuel in the system from a SuSAG tanker or outlying unoccupied worlds under escort of SuSAG defense ships.

World Technology Level[edit]

Dug possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government[edit]

Dug is governed by a Corporate Polity with a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. A company town, or world. The typical corporate run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.

World Military[edit]

SuSAG has also established a large naval and military / mercenary presence in the system to protect their operations.

  • There is a SuSAG owned naval base operating System Defense Boats, Orbital defense platforms, and other craft.
  • There is a para-military base on the planet including planetary defense spinal mounts, and a defense battalion using battledress and fusion weapons.

World Economy[edit]

Dug is a world controlled by SuSAG megacorporation who operates a heavily guarded Shadow factory on it.

  • Pays the Loyal Nineworlds Republic to guarantee the system's independence with military action, if necessary.
  • SuSAG produces a wide variety of pharmaceuticals and other drugs here.
    • Includes manufacturing of drugs generally illegal elsewhere.
    • Sells to governments, legal businesses, and organized criminal enterprises
  • SuSAG conducts research and development of new drugs here.
    • Research and development methods include ones that are questionable and potentially illegal elsewhere.
