Dhonaegvaro has a tainted atmosphere and a complete lack of surface water, making it poorly suited to sophont habitation. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a Vargr dominated Non-Aligned world in the Engakhs Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.
Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]
System Data[edit]

Mainworld Data[edit]
Dhonaegvaro is a planet scouring its surface in a perpetually dense and thus also Tainted dust storm. Dust, sand, shards of windswept glass and rocks pelt mining craft hulls for the entire duration of an operation.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]
The population of Dhonaegvaro fluctuates seasonally above and below its average of 80,000 Vargr and visiting Zhodani. Situated on the border of the Zhodani Consulate and working closely with Souo and Serue (Knoellighz 1020 and 1221 respectively), it is this world's very abundant, hard resources that keep the sandblasted planet in demand. Mining descends in week long operations for extraction of needed minerals, ores, metals and industrial crystals, sent for refining on Souo and eventual application by the think-tanks of Serue. Finished products are traded back to the Highport locally and an economy with the Zhodani is increasing, enriching at least seven worlds in the region.
Sharing safety as its key uniting feature, the citizens of Dhonaegvaro are still, at 1105, coping with the culture clash of the Zhodani mindset and are slower to adopt the honesty quirk of Souo. Emissaries continue to educate the mining companies on their outlook of honor in dealings, that truth begets more truth. The movement sees debate on the local networks and is gaining ground in the polls.
Thus far storms are the only threat these Vargr collectively battle on a weekly basis. Environmental safety is the only true reason for the established Law Level of Dhonaegvaro at this time. Locals rely on negotiators from Souo in the form of merchants and Emissaries to compare operational notes and deal with the Zhodani visitors from across the border.
World Starport[edit]
Dhonaegvaro has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is, however, no Downport here, the world having kept its facilities at a Highport in geostationary orbit over the north pole where rotation is slowest about its axis. The system features two Gas Giants and the orbital facility at the mainworld offers refining of skimmed fuels brought to them, though there is very little storage for fuel locally.
World Technology Level[edit]
Dhonaegvaro possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government[edit]
Dhonaegvaro has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
Following Souo's example, the locals of Dhonaegvaro use high-tech computers to give every citizen a voice in its pseudo-government Representative Democracy, with similar cyber-security to that used on Souo despite the lack of a formal Government on the mainworld.
