When the Psionic Suppressions were at their height, several local Psions fled over the border in to the Vargr Extents and met with the Roth Thokken. They formed the Kfoerukue. SuSAG was supplying this group with various concoctions in exchange for information. In the late 990s, the Kfoerukue attacked Utsbesyult and stole away two Droyne Leaders. This raid was led by the butcher Asirrka Alexander. The raid was successful only because he could forsee the possible outcomes. After his death, this group sought to isolate the genes and refine them and produced, in 1107, a strain that they thought would recreate this skill. The experiment was undertaken at the Research Station on Koergfoes. The children were stolen away and hidden and the facility destroyed. And this is, peversely, why you could be found. You are linked to a gene that can be seen - well more glimpsed - by this group and by “Molkuibyuss”. It isn’t known how, but the group has become aware that the children survived the destruction of the facility. The arrival of the Virus is pressing the group to seek their creations urgently – They feel that this will allow them to guide them so that they may end up holding the reins in the new world. The “Molkuibyuss” are seeking to find those children, and ensure that they are forewarned and protected. You will no doubt ask why you have not had any inkling of this? This is because the genes need to be “switched On” to be effective. The test you undertook confirmed that the DNA you have is that which is able to be switched on – and your blood has the infused nanites that will provide that switch. It would have been triggered by the experimenters when you reached maturity. It has not been triggered. Natural circumstances could trip it, but don’t seem to have. But:
"And you are not safe. Even here, now, you are not safe. Of those we have found, none have lasted more than a year. They are all dead. We fear for you." Maaiebule in conversation with John Drake: 003-1138 |
