History & Background[edit]
The Research Station was a secret facility - in that although its existence was known, the research that was undertaken was top secret. Personnel tended to stay for life to retire quietly to a facility sponsored life of relatively luxury and complete privacy.
In 1107 the Chronology Section was destroyed by a massive explosion. The perpetrators were never identified and the investigation was severely hampered by the secrecy associated with the facility and the projects it ran. It was clear that whatever was being undertaken was drawing on expertise from SuSAG as a pair of salesmen from the organisation appeared on the morning after the explosion with a samples case saying that they had a meeting with the Director. They were detained, but were found dead in the waiting room about 2 hours later and their sample case had vanished. The SuSAG connection died with them.
The entire base was rapidly evacuated in 1117 in the face of invasion by the Dzarrgh Federate. The Dzarrgh Federate has never revealed what it found, but there were two raids on the facility by 61st Fleet in 1118 which levelled the infrastructure that remained.
