Description (Specifications)

The Buffalo class 4x4 Wheeled Cargo Truck, TL-10: Ten of these vehicles form the basis of Pam's Peacekeepers a unit of Mercenary Condotterie. Fully loaded the truck's 5m3 4x4 wheeled suspension requires a lot of extra maintenance. Unfortunately, once fully loaded it can get stuck in the mud 4+ and in soft earth and sand 6+. Because of the higher ground pressure the cross country speed is only 20% of the road speed. The vehicle is NOT sealed against CBR/NBC threats. There isn't even AC. There is a remotely operated, fully stabilized, pintel mounted LMG on the back of the chassis deck to dissuade hostile pursuit of the relief convoy by enemy warlords and the like.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Buffalo class 4x4 Wheeled Cargo Truck was used as the basis for the Light class 4x4 Wheeled Self Propelled Gun Truck was designed and manufactured at TL–10, these vehicles are manufactured for Pam's Peacekeepers to complete the mercenary Dream Ticket on Aramanx/Aramis (Spinward Marches 3005). These were built with money provided upfront by Sternmetal Horizons an interested megacorporation. The total unit budget was MCr30. The 4x4 wheeled system is an unarmored box. A column of ten of these vehicles is used by Pam to ferry relief supplies, food, water, whatever is needed to whomever need it the most. She has had great success winning hearts and minds. The other vehicles provide self defense and security to ensure this vital convoy gets through to where it is needed. This has the effect of often discouraging would-be bandits and convoy raiders. She likes to make sure most don't survive to repeat the mistake.
