Aerllou has a tainted, unbreatheable atmosphere and little available surface water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Democracy of Greats in the Goengsakh Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]

This world is part of the Duesaenlaell Main.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

This world is the corporate-sponsored, technological capital of Goengsakh Subsector.

This world is part of the Democracy of Greats. Member worlds of the Democracy police themselves with local legislation and judiciary court systems. Extraterritoriality is upheld at each world's main Starport (whether it is a downport or a highport or, rarely, at both).

World Starport[edit]

Aerllou has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • As a showcase model for a world that trades in starport technology, both the Downport and Highport are kept pristine by workers and robots, and shown to purchasing Emissaries from newer worlds of the Democracy of Greats.

World Technology Level[edit]

Aerllou possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government[edit]

Aerllou has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

World Economy[edit]

Aerllou was one of the first worlds in the sector settled by corporate funding rather than military conquest or Emissary-based annexation. Rather, the executives settled this world with employees and molded the entire mainworld for research and applications testing. Orbital platforms are specialized in that they can construct modules for assembly into Highports. Surface Downports are designed and entire blueprints for many types of terrain and waterborne environments are considered on Aerllou.

Aerllou trades its pre-designed blueprints and modules to developing worlds, sub-contracts haulers to deliver construction and assembly products, and sublets logistics to lubricate the delivery of pre-assembly space stations, listening posts, observatories, research facilities, and many other utilitarian constructs needed at a Starport.

Imports to Aerllou come from Agricultural and Rich worlds, such as Natsaesoegdzounun and Theerruks (Knoellighz 3024 and 3026 respectively) to feed the employees of Dzall Arroeso Dzukfekoul, and to continue the innovation and production of proven port modules. Aerllou also works closely with Duesaenlaell and Dzedhrrenkfaeks (Knoellighz 2729 and 2929 repectively) for mass production of components, parts and entire systems from space-based entities of those worlds. Traffic is busy here above the mainworld and those transports over 1000 displacement tons are often given priority to choice docking berths. Tramp traders are often redirected to external docking gantries.

Historical Data[edit]

Aerllou was manipulated into balkanization by its funding corporation, Dzall Arroeso Dzukfekoul (tr: To Discover, Create Valiantly and Enjoy), a space and planetary construction company specializing in Starports. The goal was to keep competition high among the architects, researchers, scientists, technicians and other staff of the company, keeping them busy with corporate goals rather than concerns of how to run the planetary, day-to-day business, thought to be handled better by the executives and Board of Directors. While the various sectors of study remain partitioned off, the planet seems to outsiders to be truly Balkanized. In reality, this is a ruse by the corporation and a conspiracy to maintain a hunger for more business. The Board of Directors, through individual Vargr Charisma, both work together and compete with their respective offices to motivate industry on Aerllou.
