Description (Planetology)

Nisinasha is a large moon of a gas giant. As a result of tidal interactions, its solid body has set into an ellipsoidal shape.

Nisinasha is egg-shaped, distorted by tidal forces far in the past when it was much closer to its gas giant primary. Its atmosphere, however, is nearly spherical, producing near-vacuum at the ends, too-high pressure at the middle, and two habitable bands between these extremes. Easter, in the Concord Subsector is the only other such world in the Solomani Rim.

History & Background (Dossier)

Nisinasha is an important high-population world located on the Rim Main within Banasdan Subsector of the Solomani Rim. The system is a member of the Imperium and contains a Way Station.

During the First Imperium Nisinasha was the capital and gave its name to the entire subsector. Its original Vilani population became diluted over time during the Rule of Man. During the Solomani era the planet’s government was taken over by an unpopular hard-core regime that attempted to eradicate all vestiges of Vilani culture. The mostly mixed-race population eventually revolted during the Solomani Rim War and then began a long process of reconstruction.
