Mammoth Class Freighter (Starship) Description

It is used to supply remote Biumvirate Battle Fleet task forces when they are forced to operate away from friendly ports of call. The admiralty want more built ASAP. It carries enough fuel for two jump 1s and has 1G acceleration. It can carry a pair of utility 71ton shuttles and a platoon of marines. It has an assortment of defensive weapons to intimidate smaller vessels, but flees if encountering capital ships. It does have thirteen heavy missile bays which have proven useful in fleet operations and for orbital bombardment on several occations.

Several assault fleet operations have involved this ship. The cargo bays can be converted to carry more troops and vehicles. The unit basic loads can be ferried down by its shuttles. Lengthy sieges as possible with spare missile reloads carried in improvised magazines. Left unhindered the surface of lower technology planets can't hold out long.
