Diaspora Securities LLC is the corporation that has the contract to administrate Manticore on behalf of the Confederation. The corporation processes incoming prisoners, assigns them to a location, and provides the opportunity for work. They also manage the distribution of food and water rations planetwide.
The Corporation begrudgingly allows travellers to visit its limited downport, but does not typically allow access to prisoners without documented authorization.
Travellers have been invited to corporate events and dinners on occasion.
Urbanization
There are 40 urban centers spread across the surface, with each containing between 1000 and 2000 individuals. These are typically located near one or more mining sites, and linked by a network of heavy rail lines.
