System Data

Fimorda, the system primary, is an ordinary white main sequence star. It has a tiny red dwarf companion star, Galadak, that orbits at roughly 150 AU. Fimorda retains a family of six rocky planets (including Fieral), a single icy planetoid belt, and two large ringed gas giants. Galadek retains a family of one rocky world, a sparse planetoid belt, and a single small gas giant. Many of the worlds in the system retain satellites.

Mainworld Data

Fieral and its two satellites, Guvak and Bolodor, orbit Fimorda at a mean distance of 1.6 AU. It is a large world with a relatively high density and a surface gravity of 1.15G. It has a dense nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere tainted (from a human perspective) with microscopic organic spores that cause allergic reactions.

Mainworld Geography & Topography

The equatorial regions of the world are covered in lakes and seas of liquid water. The polar regions are rugged and arid. The Southern hemisphere, which has more large bodies of open water, is generally more hospitable.

Native Lifeforms

Fieral has extensive native life. The temperate zones are dominated by wetlands and forests, gradually giving way to broad temperate grasslands and arid polar deserts. Almost all of the native flora produces spores that saturate the atmosphere - spore concentrations are highest around the equator. Many large animals have elongated or serpentine body forms.

World Starport

Fieral has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Technology Level

Fieral possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
    • Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
    • Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
    • Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

World Government

Fieral is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to draft the policies voted upon. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by the voting population.
