Mainworld Data
(II Scybria). Orbits primary at 1.05AU, within the system's habitable zone. Retains a single large satellite.
Diameter 11500 km, high density, surface gravity 1.03 G. Nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere rated as dense, tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 1.9 bar. The atmospheric taint is a combination of natural sulfuric gases of volcanic origin and industrial pollution: breathing the atmosphere without protection is possible for short periods, but longer-term exposure will cause respiratory and pulmonary issues. In some geologically stable wilderness areas the taint is almost non-existant. Almost exactly 60% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water.
Mainworld Geography & Topography
Two large continents, one within the southern hemisphere and one straddling the equator. Many large islands and archipelagos. Shallow oceans – the deepest areas of the seas are typically around 2km deep. Seismically active, frequent earthquakes in many areas.
Native Lifeforms
Extensive native life.

World Starport
Scybria has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Technology Level
Scybria possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

Historical Data
Scybria is one of the original Seven Colonies.
It is the former capital of the Scybrian Polyarchy, the losing power in the Scybrian Wars.
The world was devastated by the Siege of Scybria and still bears the scars of that tumultuous conflict. It lost nearly a sixth of its population during the siege, almost no structures remained undamaged, and the infrastructure of the world was utterly destroyed. The starport is still being rebuilt, with the aim of restoring it to a grade A facility by 5650AD.
