Campbell has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Pact Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Campbell, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Way Station. During the Long Night this world was named Shemna Ish.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Campbell is a member of the Dagudashaag Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
Campbell is probably best known for its orbital transport facilities, which act as an important trade junction between Pact subsector and Ushra, but the system also serves a second vital purpose which is all but unknown (see below).
Mainworld Data[edit]
Campbell has three small moons, fragments of a much larger moon destroyed over a million years ago. One of the moons, Sprùilleach, is the site of an unknown alien base, known locally as the 'Glass House'. Originally shaped like a 2 kilometer tall termite hill, the top was blown off millennia ago by some unknown weapon that fused the tower into a black glass-like material that is completely impenetrable.
History and Background[edit]
Campbell is the biggest waste disposal reclamation system in the sector. Dangerous chemicals and other materials from all over Dagudashaag are sent here for treatment, recycling and/or final disposal. Campbell itself is manned by a small family firm who use the intense cold and stable environment to store the dangerous materials until processed.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Campbell has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
