Reshumirak is a vacuum world, with a complete lack of atmosphere. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Remnants Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Reshumirak, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This is the homeworld of the Domination, a Minor Race. During the Long Night this world was named Liimkhi Iir.

Mainworld Data

Reshumirak is one of three moons orbiting the gas giant Shumirak, or "Seredipity", in the outer orbit of the system. It is the second largest moon in the system (Ghainya in orbit around the outer gas giant Lys is larger).

History and Background

This world was originally excavated by independent Vilani miners during the First Imperium. The settlement had to be abandoned as uneconomic after only a few years.

In -209, the warship Dragon's Breath from the Medurma Pact met a Domination starship coming out of jump. Contact was attempted, but without success.

It was a further three hundred years before successful communication between Humans and Domination was achieved. Apparently the Domination had adapted the jump drive and power plants from three damaged and abandoned Vilani starships found at the colony. Reshumirak was the first known contact between the Domination and oxygen-breathers, though other settlements were later discovered scattered throughout space.

Reshumirak was resettled primarily by scholars wishing to study and document the Domination's culture. The Domination trades various bio-constructs in exchange for jump drives and other engineering constructs. Reshumirak has become, and continues to be, the primary embassy between the two cultures.

World Starport

Reshumirak has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.

World Law (L)

Reshumirak has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
