Ginning is a poor, nonindustrial world.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This world has few prospects for economic development.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Lemish Subsector of Corridor Sector in the Domain of Vland.
- This world has an Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
This system is part of the Aasish Cluster.

History & Background (Dossier)
Imperial Landed Nobility
Ginning, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
World Starport (St)
Ginning has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Imperial Naval Base.
Era: Rebellion
Briefly the headquarters of the Duke of Kaasu and effective capital of the Corsair Alliance from about 1119 (definitely by 1121) until overrun by Virus in the 1130's. Its small native population was bolstered by 'exiles and renegades'. To the New Ziru Sirka, the alliance was irrelevant. To the Vargr Corsairs (Irrgh Manifest and Glory of Taarskoerzn) it was a rich target. Their fleet was made up of ex Imperial Navy and Planetary Navy (IN Reserve) elements and both Mercenary Fleets and renegade Corsairs.
