The Addison Main is a J-2 Main located primarily in the Alpha Crucis Sector of the Solomani Confederation. The route passes through the Addison Subsector in a spinward to trailing direction and connects the Vald Subsector, Boreal Subsector, and Fervore Subsector (the latter two in Spica Sector).

Description (Specifications)

Alpha Crucis Sector Astrography

The Addison Main is a series of J-1 Clusters that form a J-2 main. Trade along the main follows a 'short-and-link' model where J-1 traders travel within the internal routes of the clusters and J-2 ships provide the links between the clusters.

Its components include the Addison Cluster and the Athabasca Trace.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Addison Main developed into a common route for J-2 traders during the Third Imperium after the integration of the Alpha Crucis Sector. No substantial pocket empires were established within the subsector to maintain a semblance of order prior to that time. As Solomani expansion continued into the Spica Sector and contact with the Hive Federation occurred, the need for a reliable J-2 route increased. The routes to Boreal and Trilion were founded with a few years of each other.

The spinward-coreward part of the Addison Main is the responsibility of the Trans-Vald Patrol, a significant force of frigates and a light carrier based at Teta Lise.
