An irregularly shaped giant molecular cloud located in Cleft Subsector and closely associated with the Cleft Group cluster of stars. It has general dimensions of 10 parsces coreward-rimward, 5 parsecs spinward-trailing, and occupies an area of approximately 26 parsecs.

The name derives from the old Terran French word for "separation".
