History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Nihongo, along with it's variant dialects, were historically grouped by Ancient Terran linguists as belonging to the Japonic subfamily of languages. This language subfamily had its origins in a series of islands off the eastern coast of Terra's Eurasian continent, a location anciently known for its commercial engineering enterprise and technological innovation. As pre-starflight Terra waxed in its industrial and technological prowess, the peoples of this region naturally contributed significantly toward Ancient Terra's quest for the stars and spread with them as they expanded outward, naturally influencing later Solomani languages and dialects.
World Listing[edit]

- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
