The Ribbon Rift is a Shadow Rift bisecting Forge Sector, Garadin Sector and Median Sector, within the Empty Stars.

It is a feature of the Empty Stars.
It is an astrographic feature and a rift.

Details / Specifications

The Ribbon Rift has dimensions of around 15 parsecs coreward-rimward by around 90 parsecs spinward-trailing. It links to the Bow Rift to spinward.

History

The Ribbon Rift was first charted by ultra-long-range scans performed by vessels from the Last Armada around 2255AD. Its exact position and dimensions were plotted by the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program between 5520AD and 5550AD.
