Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The Witch of Endor class Corsair is a locally built warship used on the Distant Fringe.

Description (Specifications)

Designed and built at Cydia a neutral world in the Jerik Subsector. These ships operate within the Far Home Sector. The TL–11 fully streamlined needle/wedge configuration hulls carry enough fuel, internally for a single jump 2, with the ability to carry collapsible tanks in their large cargo bay. They can carry drop tanks with 28 days of power plant fuel and an additional jump 2 as needed. There are in service with para military groups of commerce raiding corsairs which are pledged to defend Cydia in the event of attack. They are equipped with fuel scoops and on board fuel purification for wilderness ocean refueling. The weapons include one dual fusion gun turret for point defense, a triple beam laser turret, and two triple missile turrets for offense. They can hit relatively hard for their size, especially at close range. There are no defense aside from very limited agility. They have a model 4 computer mounted adjacent to the bridge and are capable of 3 G acceleration and have 1 agility rating. They have a pair of 40 ton Pinnace for boarding actions and runs to raid surface installations. These ships are inexpensive for their size and are used for piracy when targets are available unescorted. They avoid naval patrols. These ships are unpopular with their crews because of the double occupancy of the six staterooms. Some owners forgo some cargo space to install additional staterooms for carrying more troops. These hulls are frequently customized as captains take more prizes and have money for upgrades, which the Cydarians are only too happy to provide. The streamlined shape reduced atmospheric drag and makes the design graceful in atmospheres. This hull can glide upon reentry. Few have any illusions about the role of these vessels, and the escort classification is only a thin veneer of respectability, glossed over the skin of a predator.
