RSS Sh2634 Received Signal Source Shandara Sector 2634.
Details / Specifications
An anomalous signal originating from a trinary system centered on a yellow giant star. The signal is occasional, unmodulated, and in the 80-100 MHz range.
History
RSS Sh2634 was detected by the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program. It became public knowledge following publication of the "Where The Stars End" Astrographic Survey in 5550AD. The signal may be being transmitted by a currently unknown advanced sophont NIL or it may simply be a natural phenomenon. Given Shandara Sector's position relative to Terra and the Distant Fringe, it is not considered likely that the signal has a Vilani origin.
