The Nist Cluster is a group of stars that forms part of the Demon Cluster.

Description / Specifications

The Risa Cluster contains 8 systems and straddles the border between Tsorva and Esqua Subsectors in Halcyon Sector. It is named for the Nist system (1616 Halcyon) and is accessible by conventional jump-1 vessels.

Member Systems

  • Yesann, a low population vacuum world rich in minerals.
  • Denadir, a large water world.
  • Tubax, a poor, backward world.
  • Haden, a high population industrialised planet with a marginal environment but rich in resources.
  • Medis Jal, a rich, densely populated water world with a military base.
  • Nist, a rich agricultural with expanding shipyards and a major military center.
  • Ducad, a poor and underdeveloped world.
  • Indur, a pleasant, rich, agricultural garden world.

History & Background

The Nist cluster was the location of the former Collective of Nist following the civil wars. Those populations of the Cluster that survived the Dark Age became regressed and insular, and their development and loyalties were a constant source of conflict between Outworld Development and Scybria.

The Cluster was repeatedly fought over during the Scybrian Wars and still bears the physical scars of that conflict. It remains as a culturally distinct and fiercely independent region.
