Description (Astrography & Planetology)
The Tainted, Standard atmosphere is found to be too high in oxygen and contaminated with sulfates from volcanic activity across the multiple subductions of tectonic plates. This also builds high and long mountain ranges running across both continents and sea floors. This primal planet is ear-marked for future colonization, if the atmosphere can be cleaned properly by the flora or through finishing touches of terraforming.
Native Lifeforms
The mainworld is surveyed and found to have both overactive flora and dangerous fauna on its surface.
History & Background (Dossier)
Orrgto (Knoellighz 1137) A475253-D Ht Lo is not yet colonized. The hundred-or-so Vargr of the Infinity League polity watch over the system from an orbital platform keeping vigil on the extensive ice rings of the only system Gas Giant. The system Starport is at this ice rings space station on the outer fringes of the world. Occasional shuttles commute to the mainworld orbit for continued survey operations. Some un-manned, robotic landers have successfully made scouting missions to Orrgto.
One hundred scientists Vargr at the A-rated Starport are aided by robots and serve to study Orrgto for future potential in the Commerce faction of the Infinity League. As there are no true planetoid belts, the system does not draw prospectors and the planet is cordoned off until conditions ripen the world. Yet the local Feudal Technocracy has taken bribes by safari hunters to proceed to the mainworld and test their hunting mettle.
Such is the corporate funding from DUELUNOGOERRZUEZ (Knoelighz 1138) that the Tech Level of D (13) is no surprise, making this world a valuable stepping stone through the polity, between the agricultural and the technological interests vying for capitalistic dominance of newly-annexed worlds. It also helps the capital replenish its air and water supplies.
