The 55th Fleet is the Numbered Imperial fleet serving the Third Imperium stationed in the Kamlar Subsector of the Deneb Sector.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This subsector fleet is composed of two oversized squadrons. The idea was to retain a fleet with the same power as a normal subsector fleet which would typically have more squadrons assigned. It has turned out that maintaining these oversized squadrons is extremely taxing on the small local population and their economy. Many locals feel the trillions of credits could have been better spent.
The ships were not manufactured locally and are actually quite old captured Aslan designs pressed into imperial service long ago. They were collected from ihatei fleet actions. It was agreed to keep these minor clan actions quiet, so as not to violate further the Peace of Ftahalr. These ships are still not widely popular with crews who complain that they are unfamiliar and therefore difficult to work on.
